I usually don’t write a lot about clothing, but I had to make an exception on the Merrell Gatherer. It’s basicly a lightweight shell that you fill with whatever material you have at hand, leaves, moss, plastic bags… I not sure that I would take UL this far, but it’s innovative. It will be available in the fall.

Found this really cool outdoor clothing company, they let you design your own outdoor clothes. They have a bunch of products that you can customize to your liking. Their Vayu X Jacket is pictured above with some of my customizations..

Beyond Clothing

Usually when I leave my home for a trip outdoors, it might be a mountainbike ride in the local woods, out bouldering or a hike in the scandinivian mountains, I wear my trusty Fjällräven. They have worked fine for some time now and I have seen no real need to replace them.. until now! (Bare with me scots, I can’t help myself) Hiking in a Kilt, how cool isn’t that? SportKilt is offering several different kilt that looks to do the job. So look out Fjällräven either start manufacturing kilt or move over, becouse the world is changing!
