The GPS Manufacturer Holux has presented a new GPS for outdoor use, the Holux GM-120. The device measures 109 x 59 x 22.8mm, weighs 135 grams and has a large LCD (160×100 pixels) capable of displaying four shades of grey (Not very impressive if you ask me).
The system is built on the SiRF Star III GPS Chipset and can track up to 20 satellites and can store up to 1000 Waypoints and 20 routes. The track log can store up to 20,000 points devided over 9 tracks, upload and download is handle via an mini USB port.
The GPS is power with a replacable rechargeable Li-Ion battery 1800 mAH with 20 hours of operation and there is also ability to provide external power via mini USB.
There will be a GM-120A and GM-120B available and the B version will feature barometer, altimeter and electronic compass.

The need to recharge your outdoor equipment is growing all new GPS’s, satellite phones etc all require power. The Brunton SolarRolls meets that need. It’s waterproof and available three different sizes. The smallest and lightest version weight about 180 grams and has a max output of 4.5 watts.

Magellan has released 3 new GPS devices, two of them, the 2200T and 2500T, are what Magellan calls CrossoverGPS’s. What it means is that they are designed to work both for navigating the street and the outdoors. They feature both roadmaps and light topographic maps as standard and details regional maps can be added via SD card.
They both features SmartDetour (to route you around slow freeway traffic) and SayWhere (text-to-speech), waterproffing to IPX-4 and the 2500T also features real-time traffic update and music player.

Amaryllo is a new Dutch developer of GPS and navigation product. They have presented the Trip Tracker aimed at trackers, cyclists, surfers and sailors. The device has the ability to navigate waypoints and is able to remember up to 1000 waypoints. Also, 20 routes can be stored and for extra storage there is a SD/MMC slot It uses USB to connect to PC (there is also a Bluetooth version available) and bundled software it can convert your trip to Google Earth format for PC overview.
