The Petzl Signal is a red safety light that is visible for 1000 meters. It will have a two modes, constant and blinking, and it will glow for 120 hours. The device has a built in clip and an adjustable strap. It will be available in spring 2008.

Black Diamond smallest headlamp, the Ion will be loosing a LED for next year. Are Black Diamond gearing up to compete with Petzl E+Lite? The old Ion weights 30g (including battery) how much the new one will weigh is unknown.

A wind up 5 LED camping light, one minute of winding gives 30 minutes of light. Fully powered it delivers 4 hours of light or 48 hours of “night light”. I also comes with a 12v charger so if you get tired of winding you can charge it in your car or with your portable solar panels.

Brunton’s L headlamp serie will get a new addition next year, the L5. The L5 will feature a 5-watt Luxeon LED giving it a range of 246 feet and the battery will last for up to 50 hours. It will have four different modes: Power Save, Medium, Bright and Blinking Alert.
