Whistle Creek Hiking Stick

Where I live (Sweden) I can’t imagine people buying wooden hiking sticks online, but then again I can be wrong. Anyway Whistle Creek is an American company and has some really good looking hiking sticks, even some “high-tech” with built in compass.

LEKI Trigger Strap

There is one big issue with hiking poles as I see it, that’s the stapping and unstrapping of the poles. When hiking this tends to be a process but now LEKI has solved it with their Trigger Strap. You can detach the entire strap from the pole without removing it from your hand. GetOutdoors has a video demonstrating it.

Trek Talonz

Are you feeling that your trekking poles aren’t mean enough? Then the Trek Talonz is something for you, these this are brutal! No one will harass you for using poles with these attached, but if they do, this must be great weapon (Rumour has it that US Army has order these for use on black-ops in Iraq).

Trek Talonz

Anyway, it’s an accessorie that will fit most standard trekking poles giving them far more bite and only having a weight of 1.4 ounces each.

Axess W70

After having some trouble with my knees during my mountaineering trips I decide on getting a pair of walking poles. After scouting the marked I settled on the AxessW70. A Swedish made walking pole that is made not far from where I live (actually it turned out to be a friend of a friend who owned the company). I have tested the pole on two different hiking tours in the Swedish mountains now and I can recommend them highly, although something could be done about the limegreen color..
