Casio keeps celebrating the 25th anniversary of the G-Shock watches (as told in previous posts). As a celebration the MRG-8000G Ultra Limited Edition will be release, but there will only 200 pieces up for grabs. It will cost 3220 EUR and has a 8 carat gold ring as well as a gold-plated finish on all metal parts in the clock frame, and a titanium bezel.

The PAW1500 most features you can ask for, multiple alarms, countdown timer, world time, stop time, digital compass, altimeter, barometer, thermometer, tide graph, moon phase indicator and water resistance down to 200 meters (about 650 feet).

Sportline’s Solo 960 is a new heart rate monitor that has a built in pedometer which “utilizes motion-sensing accelerometer technology”. The heart rate monitor uses “Sportline’s patented 3Beat Sensor and One-Touch technologies for ECG accurate heart-rate measurement”. I really don’t have a clue what all that means but it sounds fancy..

It’s not only Magellan that releases new GPS systems, Garmin will be releasing a Forerunner wrist GPS, the Forerunner 50. As a wrist GPS it will be quite similar to it’s predecessors, but the new Forerunner will have a series of wireless connect-able sensors, a heart rate sensor, a foot pod and a cadence sensor.
Garmin has also jump on the whole Internet community thing and you will be able to upload all your data to Garmin’s online training community via Garmin Connect. On the online training community you will be able to share your training data with others.

The Outdoor Retailer show is closing in and the news starts to come.. Origo will have three new watches for 2008, from the left:
Origo Pedometer Watch, is a pedometer/watch that is worn on the wrist, unlike regular pedometers. The provides information on distance traveled, calories burned, target step count, step timer as well as regular chronological functions.
Origo Guide Pro Series provides real-time atmospheric data, analyzes it and alert the wearer to the best times to fish or hunt. It displayed weather forecasts, temperatures and barometric trend for the past 30 hours. The watch has an altimeter with 12 inches resolution and an altimeter graph covering the last 8 hours. Other features are a digital compass and calendar functions and standard chronograph functions are, off course, also available.
Origo Granite Peak Titanium, is another multi function watch with barometric pressure, weather forecasting and altimeter features, along with a digital compass and chronograph.
