The Corrie 1 & 2 are new tents from Kelty for spring 2008. Just as the names suggest the Corrie 1 is a solo tent and the Corrie 2 is a 2 person tent. Corrie 1 weighs 1.81 kg and Corrie 2 weighs 2.06 kg. The tent has been classed as 3 season backcountry light tents.

The Ouray is a new tent from Kelty for 2008. It’s a freestanding three season tent that is designed to be easy to pitch using a color coded clip system. The tent will have two doors and two vestibules and be available in versions for both two and three persons. The two person tent will weigh 5 lbs. 3 oz and the three person 5 lbs. 11 oz.

The men’s Slider 65 and women’s Arch 65 (above) are new backpacks from Kelty for 2008. The packs are design for longer backcountry trips and can hold 4000 cubic inches (about 65.5 Liters). The fabric in the packs are stretchy to accommodate larger loads and both packs has “AeroBeam suspension” which is fully ventilated suspension system.

The Locus backpacks from Kelty will be available in 2008, in both men’s(orange) and women’s(red) model. It’s a top loaded model weighing 3lb. 5oz with a volume of 2500 cubic inches (about 41 liters).

Kelty will be showing of a few new sleeping bag lines at Outdoor Retailer next week:
Light Year series features a 0ºF (3 lb, 1 oz), 20ºF (2 lb, 6 oz) and 40ºF (1 lb, 12 oz)-models. The bags are insulated with 650-fill-power down.
Light Year XP series has synthetic Climashield XP filling. It is available in 0ºF (3 lb, 11 oz), 20ºF(2 lb, 14 oz) and 40ºF (1 lb, 14 oz) models.
Apex Series Foraker -15ºF (4 lb, 2 oz) and Foraker 0ºF (3 lb, 7 oz) (photo above) are both four-season, 750-fill-power down bags. Featuring Stormstopper waterproof breathable material in the hood and foot areas and a DWR finish on all shell fabrics. For slightly warmer environments there is the Foraker 15ºF (2 lb, 13 oz) , with a DWR-finished body and welded Stormstopper waterproof breathable material in the hood and foot areas, the Foraker 15ºF sheds moisture effortlessly. This lighter weight, three-season bag is insulated with 750-fill-power down, and includes a top baffle collar and ground level side seams for warmth and comfort all night long.

New from Kelty in spring 2008 is a number of child carriers:
FC 1.0 has the perfect mix of features for short trail hikes it has an adjustable waist-belt slides up and down to fit both tall and short parents, while a five-point, adjustable harness keeps children up to 50 pounds safe and secure. A kickstand automatically deploys and retracts for easy loading and unloading. It will be available in the following colors Blueberry, Green Apple, Tangerine.
FC 2.0 has all the features to keep parents and kids comfortable on longer days out on the trail. A two layer padded, contoured waist-belt and like as FC1.0 it has a five-point adjustable harness keeps kids up to 50 pounds riding comfortably and the sliding back panel torso adjustment easily fits parents of different sizes. It has a zip off diaper bag with shoulder straps and an auto-deploy kickstand. It will be available in the following colors Grape, Blueberry, Green Apple.
FC 3.0(pictured above) is built on the same platform as the FC 2.0, has all the same great design features as the 2.0 with included sun/rain hood, child-view mirror, changing pad and cell phone pocket. It will be available in the following colors Blueberry, Cherry, Black.

Two new tents from Kelty, the Pagosa 2 (above) and the Grand Mesa 2 (below). They are both 2 person tents but the Pagosa offer a bit more floor area. The Pagosa 2 is a lightweight backcountry tent weighting 2.8 kg (6 lb. 4 oz.) and the Grand Mesa 2 is a trail tent weighting in at 2.10 kg (4 lb. 10 oz.).
