MSR will start the shipments of the Reactor stove. The shipment were initially scheduled for spring 2007, but were halted. But now MSR’s Bill Conradt says “We’re shipping them out as fast as we are building them”. MSR anticipates the production and supply of stoves to meet up with the demand by January of 2008.

MSR Reactor

It looks like MSR has decided on giving JetBoil a match by releasing the MSR Reactor. MSR has constructed a completely new type of burner with an integrated windshield. What’s different from the JetBoil is that the burner and the 1.7-liter pot is separated. MSR claims it to be able to cook 1-liter of water in 3 minutes and weighing 612 grams. This will be an intresseting outdoor gadget to try when it’s released early 2007.
