The Convert 2 from Sierra Design is a new four season tent, with “external to internal” pole sleeves. The tent is designed for 2 persons and has a removable vestibule. The weight will be 6 lbs 7 oz.

The new ultralight Velox series, from Sierra Design, has a hybrid single/double-wall construction. There will be three variants a one (3 pounds), two (4 pounds 2 ounces) and three-person (5 pounds) version.

Sierra Designs will be bringing back their stretchy Flex design for sleeping bags, this time the bags will be out of Eco-friendly materials.

Male version will be the Lazer 30 weighing 2lb 2oz (reg) and 2lb 4 oz (long).

Female version will be the Flare 30 weighing 1lb 15z (reg) and 2lb 2 oz (long).

For 2008 Sierra Design will release a new ultralight sleeping bag called Nitro 30. I don’t have much details but it will feature Sierra Designs Flex system.

Sierra Designs will be releasing some new sleeping bags for 2007, here the information.

The Nightfall is a sleeping bags for men in waterproof drizone with a comfort temperature of 45°F (7°C). Weight 2 lbs. 1 oz.

The Tocho is a synthetic bag for men rating down to 45°F (7°C). Weight 1lbs. 15 oz.

Yuma is a men’s adventure down bag also rating down to 45°F (7°C). Weight 2 lbs. 1.oz.

Sunshine is a women waterproof drizone bag with 800-fill down and a comfort temperature of 45°F (7°C). 1 lbs. 14 oz.

Finally the Dragonfly, it’s a girls synthetic bag, rating down to 20°F (-6.5°C). 2 lbs. 4 oz and check out that liner!

Sierra Designs new Tengu tent is a three season tent featuring an “external pitch”, making it great in rainy conditions. Personally I would like to see more tent producers going in this direction. I would like to see a 2 person tent with 2 doors resonable vestible area with “extranal pitch” and a weight around 4 lbs 5 oz (2000 grams). Anyway the Tengu comes in a 2- and 3-person edition.
